Roy is a retired broadcaster and lives with his wife Pat in Northern California. He spent his childhood in the era of network radio (aka oldtime radio). Before he learned to talk he recognized such phrases as:"HENRY, HENRY ALDRICH!" and "Don't open that closet door McGee!". While his first toy wasn't a microphone, it should have been.
Three things came to pass in recent years: computer editing, mp3 files, and the internet. Roy started a podcast: radio.weblogs.com/0143840/ and a website: www.storyspieler.com and took up story reading . Since many of his stories come from www.gutenberg.org, he gets emails from those learning English as a second language who'd also downloaded the text and were following along.
